Shadowsight's Den (^_^ Life and Black as well!)

Shadowsight groaned as the message reached him. He hated kits, especially when they were apprentices, and he was getting two of them! Apparently, they were a sister and brother, and joined Shadowclan a few moons ago. He sighed and sat down on his mass of leaves, waiting for the new Med. Cat apprentices to arrive.

[mothswirl]

"Come on, Black." a small she-cat's voice could be heard outside the den. A moment later, two small apprentices came into Shadowsight's sight*. Their tails were intwined and the black tom had a gazed, distant look in his eyes. "Are you Shadowsight?" the white one, who was Life, mewed.

ooc: *That amuses me. ^^;

[shadowsight]

"If I said no, would you go away?" asked Shadowsight. "Yes, I'm your new teacher. Don't call me Shadowsight, though. Call me what they call people in the Windclan. Call me sensei." he meowed, teasing with Life and Black.

[mothswirl]

"Why?" Life asked, sitting down. Black stayed standing. He seemed to not notice that his sister had sat down. He looked in Shadowsight's general direction. "Will you teach us or not?" he asked quietly.

[shadowsight]

Shadowsight chuckled a bit and meowed, "I was just kidding, call me Shadowsight. And yes, Black, I'll teach you, however, you'll need a special training. Something you and your sister need to differ from. You're blind, correct?" he looked at Black, knowing he had hit the nail on the dot, even though the report never said that Black was blind.

[mothswirl]

"Yeah..." Black mewed. "Will that be a problem?" Life stood up. "Black and I have never been away from each other. He needs me!" she meowed.

[shadowsight]

"It could be a predicament. Although some herbs and medicines are odored, most are odorless. I can't let your brother touch or taste them, just in case it would mess with the concoction. That's why I'm letting you take care of that department, and I'll teach him how to use odored tinctures. You will not be seperated, however, your proffessions will be different. But it makes it better. This way, you'll both be able to heal together, and two heads are better then one." Shadowsight meowed, looking at Black. 'Life is wrong...Black doesn't look like an idiot...I think he'd figure a way to live if he was truly on his own...hmmm...' Shadowsight thought to himself, closing his eyes.

Life hesitantly nodded. "Alright...." she mewed. Black padded forward until he accidentaly bumped into Shadowsight. "Sorry!" he meowed quietly. He opened his mouth to take in his mentor's scent. He nodded to himself and went back over to where his sister waited.

Shadowsight smiled, saying, "It's ok, Black. Just getting used to new surroundings is difficult." he then stood up and skipped a bit over to the cabinet, taking out two bottles - one with an odorless herb and on with an odored. "Shall we start?" he asked.

[mothswirl]

"Yes sir!" Life meowed, watching him. Black didn't say anything. He just sat down and waited patiently. He had no idea what was going to happen, so he depened on Life to make all the decisions.

Shadowsight placed the odorless, white bottle in front of Life, then the odored white bottle in front of Black. "Oh, Life, I forgot a bottle of black. Please go into the cabinet and get it for me." said Shadowsight.

[mothswirl]

"Alright...." Life meowed. She stood up and padded over to the cabinet. She started looking for a bottle of black for Shadowsight. Black just calmly stayed where he was.

[shadowsight]

Shadowsight quickly, quietly, and vibrationlessly, switched the bottles, making sure Black had no idea what he was doing. He then waited for Life to return, knowing she would never find the black bottle.

[mothswirl]

"Shadowsight, there's no black bottle in here!" Life mewed, looking back at him. "Are you sure there's one in here?"

[shadowsight]

"There isn't? Oh yeah, I remember, I used that one up already. Sorry. Oh well, we can work without it." said Shadowsight.
