"I'll get some dried reeds." Mothswirl meowed. She stood up and padded out of the den and over to a pile of dried reeds.

"Reeds?! Really?! Stop! Those are the best for making those needles!" he cooed, starting to shake the branch so that leaves would fall. When they wouldn't, he would use his trusty claws to "kindly" get them off the branch.

"They also make quite comfortable nests..." Mothswir meowed. She came back with some reeds for his nest and a few extras for his needles. "There you go. Knock yourself out." she meowed.

Lakelight shot down the tree, ecstatic to get to work. He picked up a small piece of reed in his mouth and held it inbetween his paws, starting to chew and rip at it, until it became extremely sharp on both ends, then started to work on another piece of reed.

Mothswirl curled up on her nest. She rested her head on her paws and watched him quietly. She was trying to learn what he was doing.

When Lakelight was done, he had twenty new needles. "I can teach you how to use them, if you like." he said, his back turned to her. "I know you were watching me and trying to learn how to make them." he put the needles away in his pouch, then went and laid by her.

"Maybe later..." Mothswirl said with a quiet yawn. "Have you ever delivered kits? It's not as easy as it looks. More than just the queen is exhausted when it's done.." She laid her head back down, but kept her eyes on him.

"Nope, and I don't think I'll have to for a short time. I haven't studied that part of the Medicine Cat training, so it'll take a few more days until I'm ready." he yawned and laid his head down, front turned to Mothswirl, showing his white underbelly. He didn't want Mothswirl to look at his blue fur, because, if you looked close enough, you could see the sap causing it to stifen up.

Mothswirl let out another yawn and closed her eyes. Within a few moments, she was sound asleep. A sound that seemed a cross between a soft snore and a purr could be heard from her.

Shadowsight waited until she was asleep, then went to the same tree as before, making sure no Warriors, Kits, Elders, or Leaders were around, then jumped up the tree and reapplied the sap. He then jumped back down and walked back to the den.
